The remote banking services offered to customers are aimed at both individuals and corporate clients based on their specific requirements.
To access the remote banking facilities, any kinds of communications can be used, such as modem, Internet, or mobile phone.
The Bank’s customers are thereby able to manage their funds from any point of the world with the reassurance that their transactions are completely secure on account of the subsystems’ design.
Convenience and simplicity in the systems’ operation have been achieved by recent developments in the user interface design with due requests of our customers.
Remote banking services for individual customers are only available in Russian.
For non-resident corporate customers the English version of the remote banking services and text of agreement are available.
Internet Banking is the system of remote banking services that allows bank accounts to be managed over the Internet. To use this service, no special software is required to be installed on the customer’s computer.
Internet Banking enables the following types of transactions to be performed:
The requirements for the use of the Internet Banking service are a valid bank card with a PIN2-code.
The PIN2-code consists of a 16-digit alphanumeric code, which is indicated in the PIN-envelope supplied with the bank card.
The Internet Banking service applies a reliable system of data encryption using an SSL 3.0 server certificate with 128-bit encryption. To access the system it is necessary to enter a 16-digit alphanumeric PIN2-code that ensures the confidentiality of the transaction data, protecting it from unauthorized access to bank accounts. The performance of transactions (except for informational ones) is required to be confirmed by a one-time password (OTP).
Mobile Client-Bank is a recent innovation in the sphere of mobile banking. The protection facilities for the delivery of SMS messages are built into the system, and do not require SIM card replacement. This also enables the generation of private keys in the user’s telephone to create the customer’s equivalent of a handwritten signature.
The system is built using Java, SMS, and WAP technologies, and is tailored for the provision of services to individual customers.
Mobile Client-Bank enables the following types of transaction:
A key feature of the system is the high level of security protecting transmitted data. SMS messages formed by Midlet are signed by the customer’s equivalent of a handwritten signature and encrypted prior to their forwarding to the Bank. The Bank’s reply messages are also encrypted.
Mobile Client-Bank uses RSA as the algorithm for encrypting communicated information by SMS. The generation of a unique customer key that is used to create the customer’s equivalent of a handwritten signature is based on the TDES algorithm. The unique customer key is accessed via a private password, which is known only to the customer.
Midlet is downloaded from a dedicated Bank website that has a Thawte Premium Server CA security certificate.
While working with Midlet’s confidential data, the PIN2-code of the bank card and a password are used.
The PIN2-code of the bank card is a 16-digit alphanumeric sequence given to the customer confidentially in the PIN-envelope together with the bank card that is used for Midlet personalization.
Customers should create their own passwords during the Midlet personalization process and keep them secret. The password is used to perform further transactions. The password is not communicated to the Bank and is known only to the customer.
For corporate customers Rosbank offers an Internet Client-Bank remote banking system that enables customers to control the status of their accounts independently, make payments and use other bank products (loans, deposits, securities, etc.) in real-time mode. Internet Client-Bank excludes the possibility of documents’ distortion during communication to and processing by the Bank, and ensures online control over movements within the account and its status. Internet Client-Bank employs a range of measures providing complete protection of data from unauthorized access.
Internet Client-Bank has been developed for the particular benefit of corporate customers of any size – from individual entrepreneurs to large corporations with complex structures. To satisfy their requirements the system enables:
the importation of payment documents direct from customers’ accounting programs;
customer registrations of an unlimited number of users with varying permissions. A flexible system of multilevel signatures enables the maintenance of rules for document authorization in accordance with that adopted within the organization;
provision of online access to various reference information required for routine work: daily exchange rates, reference books of Russian banks and those participating in SWIFT, etc.
Internet Client-Bank offers customers reliable and quality services with 24/7 operation, 365 days a year with unlimited growth in the number of subscribers and the volume of their electronic documentary interchange. The service is ensured by systems operation support from the software developer (one of the leading manufacturers of similar systems in Russia), the Bank’s own powerful technological infrastructure (a fail-safe cluster consisting of two high-performance SUN UNIX servers), an industrial database manager, state-of-the-art CISCO telecommunications equipment and the Bank’s reserved access link to the Internet.
The system of electronic documentary interchanges of Internet Client-Bank provides for the preparation and transfer to Rosbank of any documents required for fully-fledged banking services to organizations.
To use the system the customer may use any computer with Internet access and one of the following operating systems: Windows 2000, XP, or Vista. The computer should have Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher.
Using the system does not require any additional training: it includes detailed instructions, and the customer can pose any questions to a dedicated support service.
The features of the system enable the implementation of various schemes for large corporate customers’ operations. A Head Office may control the operations of its branches, including remote ones, to:
Any entity may receive information about payments receivable from other participants in the Internet Client-Bank prior to the receipt of payment and processing by the Bank. This affords the opportunity to prepare payments against expected receipt of funds.
Entities with financial activity involving various business units and different bank accounts may restrict employee access to relevant information for both browsing and communicating certain types of financial documents to the Bank.
For the convenience of non-residents the English version of the system and text of agreement are available.

Wherever you might be, the Internet Client-Bank service is accessible for your operations around the clock. If for any reason you do not have access to the Internet, you can connect with the Bank by modem using a regular telephone line.
For corporate customers Rosbank offers SMS-Bank: a remote banking service that enables the customers to receive information about the status of their accounts by means of SMS message exchanges.
SMS-Bank makes it possible to perform informational transactions either automatically or on request.
There are several advantages of using SMS-Bank:
To use Midlet a mobile phone should support Java applications, information concerning which should be available in the mobile phone user’s manual.
