Client online identification, app promotion with gamification and reconsideration of operation record in an app: Rosbank summed up the result of Rosbank Tech. Madness hackathon
- 12 December
Tech. Madness, a hackathon for product developers with a prize fund of 600 thousand rubles was held at Rosbank Head Office. The hackathon started in the evening of 6 December and lasted 48 hours. The developers had to create the prototypes of fintech products with support of the bank experts during this time. This year, a traditional Rosbank hackathon scheme was used. The tasks were unknown before the start of the competition, only topics and fields were defined. More than 500 applications were submitted for the participation in Tech.Madness, 119 of which in the membership of 27 teams were sorted out by Rosbank experts. 24 teams made their way to the final.
The results of the teams were considered by 5 criteria, and in addition to the jury, the solutions were also evaluated by mentors who looked at the overall performance of the task and functionality, and experts who checked the quality of the technical solution. The jury of 10 people from the management team of Societe Generale Group companies in Russia (Rosbank, Rusfinance Bank, Rosbank Insurance and ALD Automotive) assessed the design of the solution and the team's ability to present the idea.
"This is the third hackathon held by Rosbank, and we are pleased to see that the interest in the event and the level of participants is growing from year to year. I would like to congratulate the team "DROP TABLE USERS" with a well-deserved victory and the main prize of 300 thousand rubles, which has developed a creative way of online identification of the client for lending via video real time broadcasting. Separately, I would like to note the solution itself: in the process of video recording, the client receives several tasks in a playful way through the interface, the implementation of which allows the Bank's employee to verify it, " said Olga Makhova, Innovation Director of Rosbank.
The second place and 200 thousand rubles was won by the team "OilStone", which solved the case for the promotion of mobile applications for business through the game, entrepreneur simulator. The team has developed a game with a high level of replayability, which allows you to feel like a company manager, forced to make difficult choices, and highlights the benefits of the application for business leaders through decision-making.
The third place and 100 thousand rubles was given to the team of "Java-masters", which reconsidered the classic service of displaying the operation record in a mobile application, turning it into a universal scalable platform.
