Jean-Baptiste Langnier is appointed director of capital markets and investment banking

Jean-Baptiste Langnier is appointed Director of Capital Markets and Investment Banking in Rosbank. Jean-Baptiste will be responsible for the development of Rosbank Capital Markets activities. He will report to Ilya Polyakov, First Deputy CEO of Rosbank and Chief Country Officer for Russia, Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking.

Commenting the appointment, Ilya Polyakov said: "Jean-Baptiste Langnier has successful 25-years’ experience in Societe Generale Group. I am sure his knowledge and international expertise will contribute to further development and growth of our Capital Markets franchise."


Jean-Baptiste Langnier joined Societe Generale in 1992 and held different positions in Paris and London as Fixed income derivatives trader on various products and portfolios including in emerging markets. In 2000, he joined the Corporate sales teams to cover Benelux and CEEMEA clients in cooperation with Societe Generale international network. In 2007 he became the deputy Head of Corporate sales team and also worked in 2008 for SG CIB management to set up the upcoming joint-venture on Capital Markets activities of Rosbank. From 2009, Jean Baptiste served as Head of Corporates sales of Asia Pacific in Hong Kong and in 2012, he was appointed global Head of Emerging markets sales teams in charge of covering international institutional investors in all fixed income products.
