Rosbank and Impact Hub Moscow started accepting the applications for participation in the all-Russian competition program "START DIFFERENTLY" for companies and organizations working in the field of inclusion. The goal of the project is to help social enterprises and NPOs that improve the lives of people with disabilities to create financially sustainable business models and new opportunities for development and scaling.

Based on the results of the selection, a jury of experts will select 16 projects that will undergo an intensive development program. When selecting finalists, the social significance of the project, the efficiency and innovativeness of the proposed solution, the prospects for financial stability and the potential of the team are taken into account.

Social entrepreneurs and NPOs who have been working for at least 6 months and are registered as a legal entity are invited to participate, they have active business projects aimed at helping people with disabilities, such as those that are engaged in employment, socialization, or additional education. You can apply until June 21, 2020 via the official website of the program www.rosbankcares.ru.

The training program for authors of the best projects will begin in autumn with an online conference and will end with a session of final pitches in front of experts and jury members. Between these two events are 12 weeks of online training in eight thematic modules: social contribution of business, finance, product development, sales, promotion, team work, public speaking, and use of Internet technologies. The last three areas are innovations of this year. Each project will be accompanied by a curator, a successful entrepreneur who will help to set and achieve the desired goals in the program. One of the new elements of the program will be an individual support of a psychologist.

This year, a separate set of projects will be implemented in the direction “Digital and technological products that help people with disabilities". In addition to the main training program, additional modules are waiting for them, such as "Product/Market Fit “and” Unit-economy" with a focus on financial stability, product and promotion.

All projects that qualify for the final will receive individual prizes that correspond to the main directions of the project development: travel grants for educational trips, opportunities to hold strategic sessions with experts from major companies, thematic training courses, mentoring support for business consultants, etc.

"Corporate social responsibility is one of the priorities in the strategy of Rosbank and Societe Generale Group, so it is so important for us to implement projects such as "START DIFFERENTLY". During the two years of the program, we have seen the entire scope of inclusive social businesses represented in Russia. These projects are well aware of local problems and ways to solve them, and help to achieve qualitative changes in the lives of people with disabilities. Rosbank sees the program's mission as helping social entrepreneurs make their activities more financially sustainable and scalable. This year, we are increasing the number of participants in the program and introducing an additional educational module for IT projects, responding to the needs of the time and hoping to further expand the opportunities of projects in the field of inclusion," Ilya Polyakov, CEO of Rosbank.

"Our mission is to inspire, guide and support social entrepreneurs who make a positive contribution to society. But the stability of such a contribution is possible only if there is a working financial model. This is the task that the "START DIFFERENTLY" program, which we are conducting together with Rosbank for the third time, helps to solve. This year, we have adapted the training course to take into account the crisis situation in the economy and hope that the new proposed formats, tools and methodologies will help organizations working with people with disabilities better adapt to the new conditions," Ekaterina Khaletskaya, Co-Founder and Director of Impact Hub Moscow.

During the existence of the "START DIFFERENTLY" program, the organizers received 306 applications from more than 70 regions of Russia. Since 2018, 24 social enterprises and NPOs have taken part in the acceleration program, which employ people with disabilities, create goods and services for them, as well as opportunities for socialization. 17 of them reached self-sufficiency during their participation in the program.

For two years, the "START DIFFERENTLY" program has won various awards, including “Change Management. Visionaries", "Impulse for Good", "Leaders of corporate charity in the paradigm of sustainable development", National Banking Award, "Finaward" and "Retail Finance Awards"
