Rosbank and Svyaznoy company launched the payment for purchases with the help of dynamic QR-codes via Faster Payment System (FPS). National Payment Card System provides the forming and transfer of QR-codes for acquiring operations.

The pilot project was launched in Moscow. The new function is already available for Rosbank clients in ROSBANK Online app.

Svyaznoy plans to scale up the function of the payment via FPS in all its stores, online store and in its mobile app till the end of 2020.

Faster Payment System allows clients to pay for a purchase using a non-cash method directly from a bank account, without using a card. A client will have to select payment via FPS in the mobile app of the bank, then scan the QR code and confirm the payment.

"Faster Payment System is a national-scale project that contributes to bringing the Russian payment infrastructure to a new level. We see increased client interest in this service and we are sure it will be in demand by companies that are interested in offering various ways to pay for goods to their clients", Perizat Shaikhina, First Deputy CEO of Rosbank.

"Non-cash payments become more and more popular every year. At the moment the share of non-cash payments in our retail network is 35%, so our clients are interested in universal payment methods. One of the main advantages of FPS is the speed of transactions, which undoubtedly will allow Svyaznoy to increase the level of service and the attractiveness of non-cash payments for our clients”, Yevgeny Davydovich, President of Svyaznoy

Clients of other banks that already provide this option will also be able to use the new payment method for purchases in Svyaznoy. Follow the link to FPS website to find the list of the banks.
