Department for Environmental Management and Protection of the City of Moscow named the winners of the 5th annual contest “Green Office”. Rosbank is a winner in the category called “The Best Environmental Staff Education Program”.
In 2018 a record-breaking number of companies participated in “Green Office” initiative. 103 companies filled the application forms on www.зеленыйофис.com. As a result of the assessment of all the participants, Department for Environmental Management and Protection of the City of Moscow came to the conclusion that the level of ecological responsibility of the business in Russia is increasing. The majority of respondents have ecological policy (62%), the subjects of a green office and ecology arouse interest among the staff (68%) and many of them hold ecological events like litter picking, eco-team buildings, and eco-trainings (65%). Companies also take care of their staff - there are special recreation zones in many of them (63%) as well as healthcare programs (64%).
“It is necessary to organize such contests on a regular basis. Every year more and more companies join this ecological project paying more and more attention to the green standards. The employees spend around 8 hours of their lifetime at work and we need to care a lot about the way the space around them is designed. It is important both for the workers and for employers as the overall work conditions influence labor efficiency and productivity”, Olga Sosnitskaya, Deputy Head of Specially Protected Natural Areas Management Division of Department for Environmental Management and Protection of the City of Moscow.
