Rosbank will test the payments with QR-codes via Faster Payments System with “Detskiy mir”

    27 August

Rosbank and “Detskiy mir” will launch a pilot project on the purchase payments via Faster Payments System in two shops of “Detskiy mir” in Moscow from September. Rosbank customers can make a purchase by scanning a QR-code at the cash desk and approving the operation in ROSBANK Online app. The transaction will be carried out immediately after the confirmation of the purchase. Moreover, “Detskiy mir” gives extra bonus points for customers who made a purchase with a QR-code via FPS. The service will be available to a restricted scope of Rosbank customers on the initial stage. As a result of the pilot “Detskiy mir” plans to scale up the payment tool on the whole “Detskiy mir” chain and to launch the payment by QR-code in online-shop.

“Faster Payments System is a project of a national scale that transforms significantly Russian payment infrastructure right now. We think that in the near 3-5 years QR-code payment via FPS will become as usual as the payment by card. We observe a great interest of customers to this service and we are sure that it will be in-demand both by large retail chains and other companies that are interested in offering versatile payment methods to their customers”, Vitaly Anpilogov, Director of Complex Corporate Calculation Organization Department.

“Detskiy mir aims at not only offering a vast collection of goods for children but also to make purchases convenient for our customers, including the use of modern solutions to carry out payments. The payment with QR-code within the project of FPS is one of the advanced tools and we are sure that the new payment service will be attractive for consumers”, Nadezhda Kiseleva, Head of External and Internal Communications Division of “Detskiy mir” Group.
