The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and Societe Generale Agreed on Cooperation

During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the international financial group Societe Generale was signed. The parties agreed to strengthen partnerships and broaden cooperation on the on the questions of regulation and development in the sphere of the sustainable financing.
On the part of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation the document was signed by Minister Maxim Oreshkin, on the part of Societe Generale Group – by General Director Frederic Oudea.
In accordance with the Agreement, Societe Generale will provide the Ministry with the expertise and analytical information at its disposal on the topic of sustainable financing, as well as provide advice and participate in activities on this topic.

Since 2000, Societe Generale has been focusing on environmental and social issues related to financial activities, and since then our commitment to a greener and more inclusive economy has been growing steadily. In Russia, this area is being successfully developed by our subsidiary bank - Rosbank. We will be happy to share our expertise and cooperate with the Ministry for the development of this area, ” commented Frederic Oudea.
