    06 June

CEO of Rosbank Ilya Polyakov took part in the session “A bank or an ecosystem: who will outlast?” on St.-Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The participants discussed the work strategy of the banks in the context of rapid development of financial technologies, as well as they tried to find an answer to the question “Is it possible to remain a successful “classic” bank by means of high-class customer service or is it necessary to broaden a focus to the field of an ecosystem in order to survive?”.

"We cannot claim that the creation of an ecosystem is a 100% right way which we all have to strive to. Nevertheless, we have to be ready to possible radical changes. Nowadays all the banks must transform. It is no the number of services that is important but the way how it corresponds with the customer expectations. If some market player is able to offer a lot of supplementary services apart from basic banking services to customers and do it all with a high quality, so then it will be successful. And vice versa – a broad line of services will not save you if all of them are on the same mediocre level”, Ilya Polyakov mentioned during his speech.

The top managers of Deutsche Bank AG, JSC “Alfa Bank”, PJSC “Moscow Exchange”, JSC “Raiffeisenbank”, Qiwi and JSC “Tinkoff Bank”.
